HISTORY

JAYS BLINDS is a small Tasmanian family owned and operated business who employ Tasmanian’s.

From a family background within the Blind Industry, Tony Coombes, was a carpenter and working in the local building Industry. In 1986 decided he needed to look for a more secure future as the building industry was becoming very quiet.  JAYS Venetian Blind Cleaning & Repair Service was up for sale. It was a one man operation, cleaning and repairing blinds from the rear of a building in Glenorchy. Tony brought the business in 1986 and has been servicing Tasmanian blind repairs, cleaning and product needs ever since.

After 18 years and the business growing and thousands of blinds cleaned and repaired,

JAYS BLINDS PTY LTD moved to new premises at Unit 2, 237 Main Road, Derwent Park into a much larger building, with a showroom for new products and a larger workshop for cleaning, repairing and manufacturing of products.
